May I at this occasion announce a publication from myself which
deals with the sexuality in the premodern marriage. In this book I discuss
the theoretical and methodological problems of writing a history of
sexuality. One important subject of this book is the question whether the
functioning of premodern marriage in a similar way as today is understood
as dependent from the sexual satisfaction. Has sexuality been taken in the
past as seriously as today? (...)
